RicLamar Fashion Weekend was nothing short of spectacular! Designer RicLamar curated a dynamic three-day experience, blending fashion, creativity, and community engagement. The weekend kicked off with two days of innovative fashion showcases, culminating in an elegant brunch at Chance Restaurant in Hampton.
With a vision to share his unique designs and talent with the Coastal Virginia community, RicLamar ensured each day brought something special.
Day #1 was an immersive experience like no other—an interactive sip-and-paint event called "Color Me Dutch." Hosted By: K'BANA BLAQ. Instead of simply viewing the designs, guests became part of the creative process. Models strutted in stunning garments crafted by RicLamar, but there was a twist—the audience had the opportunity to paint the pieces using vibrant color-blocking techniques, turning each outfit into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Day #2 Called Color Me Custom was a breathtaking fashion show held at The Garden House in Portsmouth, Virginia. Designer RicLamar unveiled 19 stunning looks, ranging from evening wear to bridal—but with a unique twist. Each garment was designed to be versatile, allowing it to be worn for multiple occasions. A true testament to fashion that caters to the modern, everyday individual!
Guests were welcomed with warmth and hospitality as they soaked in the serene ambiance of the garden, enjoying an intimate setting with a build your own charcuterie and handcrafted mocktails. The event drew an incredible crowd, including The Dutch Dolls—RicLamar affectionate name for his clients —alongside models, fellow designers, influencers, photographers, fashion stylists, content creators, and more.
As a Chesapeake native, RicLamar not only brought his creative vision to life but also united the Coastal Virginia community in support of his passion, artistry, and God-given talent. His ability to blend innovation with accessibility makes him a designer to watch!

Day #3 of RicLamar Fashion Weekend wrapped up in style with a vibrant Fashion Mobb Brunch at Chance Restaurant in Hampton, Virginia. In a show of support for Black-owned businesses, RicLamar chose this elegant venue to host the final gathering of the weekend.
The theme of the day, "Color in the Block," encouraged guests to embrace bold color-blocking outfits, creating a unified yet expressive fashion moment. This creative concept, envisioned by RicLamar, wasn’t just about style—it was about community, culture, and connection. Guests came together to break bread, build relationships, and celebrate fashion in an environment that blended great food, meaningful conversations, and a love for creativity.

Wow wow wow! The looks and overall theme of event was magical! Everthing flowed nicely and embraced the theme perfectly! The looks served on Day 2 were my personal favorite!

Ric Lamar is an artist in his own category! His creativity and skills are always on point every time single time! He continuiously out does himself and that’s a challenge that he overcomes with ease. He definitely puts VA on the map! I can’t wait to see what he does next!
